The Idiot

you ain't no henry miller!
Another frustrated revolutionary, Dostoevsky's writings are pure opium. When engulfed in a Dostoyevsky novel, nothing else has importance.

Even through the pen of the translator, one feels the heart of Slavic sentimentalities. I've read other Russian authors. Dostoyevsky is the only one who makes me feel like Russia could ever be idyllic.

If you ever feel like you have nothing to live for except death, remember Dostoyevsky, the man who could make even Christianity seem beautiful.
